Our Optometrists

Dr. Leonard, a proud native of Midwest Ohio, discovered his passion for Optometry during his undergraduate studies. While working with a mission team in Jamaica, he provided essential eye exams for local residents, an experience that profoundly influenced his career path.

He earned his B.S. in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and went on to pursue his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. There, he excelled in a rigorous clinical program, receiving honors in key areas such as primary eye care, ocular disease, and surgical co-management. He completed his studies with distinction in 2019.

Driven by a deep commitment to serving others, Dr. Leonard has dedicated his career to improving vision care at our office in South Phoenix and across the state of Arizona through our mobile eye clinic. This initiative allows him to reach underserved communities and provide high-quality eye care where it is most needed.

Residing in Gilbert with his wife, Jalyn, and their two children, Dr. Leonard balances his professional life with family activities. The family enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and boating, and they are actively involved in their local church community, where they contribute to various outreach programs and events.

Dr. Libbi Tracy is originally from Springfield, Missouri where she completed her

Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Southwest Missouri State University,

graduating Cum Laude. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the

University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry.

She has received awards in the Optometric community: Arizona Optometric

Association President’s Award (1991), Optometrist of the Year – Great Western

Council of Optometry (1994) and Arizona Optometric Association 25-year

membership Award (2008). She has served as the Arizona Optometric

Association Liaison to the Governor’s Office for Children and AZ Chairperson of

VISION USA Charity program, Board of Directors for Arizona Optometric

Association, Board of Trustees for Utah Optometric Association and RGPLI

(Rigid Gas Permeable Lens Institute) Advisory Committee.

Dr. Tracy’s Optometric experience spans 36 years of a variety of patient and

practice situations. She has taken care of patients at the John Cochran VA

Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri, IHS (Indian Health Services) in Anadarko,

Oklahoma, full service private practices in Arizona and Utah, including Adjunct

Clinical Professor at the Moran Eye Center, University of Utah School of

Medicine. She has added training and interest in Specialty contact lenses, as

well as medical Optometric experience in ocular diseases, pre- and post-

operative care and full scope Optometry.

She loves taking of all ages of patients, determined to provide top level care and

education for a complete eyecare experience. When not seeing patients, she is

active in her church, enjoys traveling and spending time with family – especially

her grandchildren!
